Where wine meets design. Our story
My name is Sergio Rasi, and my story is one of passion, change, and vision.
It all began in 1980, when I started my journey in the world of sales. I explored different industries, always looking for new challenges, but it was in fashion that I found my home for many years.
I studied marketing, attended courses at Bocconi University, trained, made mistakes, learned. Above all, I learned that there is no success without sacrifice.
In the 1990s, I began traveling the world — creating collections, collaborating with major brands, proposing ideas, and producing for others. But when the fashion industry started to change — with crises, unpaid debts, and globalization — I realized it was time for a new beginning.
In 2010, I discovered a small artisan workshop that built wine coolers. That’s where I saw the future: combining technology, Italian design, and the culture of wine.
I bought the company, restructured it, relaunched it. That’s how DATRON was born: German Quality, Italian Design.
In 2011, we launched our first website, developed our own products, and entered the markets of Italy, Germany, and Austria — and later, other European countries. Our products began furnishing Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels, and, above all, the homes of true wine lovers.
Today, DATRON is more than just a wine cooler. It’s a piece of furniture, a moment of conviviality, an excuse to open a bottle with friends — to laugh, share, and live.
Because wine is not just a drink — it’s emotion, culture, and connection.
And DATRON wants to be part of those moments.
